Atair specializes in the design and precision manufacture of high-performance parachutes. With more than 80 patents awarded or pending, Atair is dedicated to defining the state-of-the-art in parachute design and manufacture.
Applications include military, personnel, cargo, and UAV recovery parachutes, from elliptical parafoils to rounds, with weights ranging from 0 to 5000 pounds.
Atair has designed and manufactured complete parachute recovery systems for UAVs, from 30 pounds to 3000 pounds in weight and for deployment speeds from 100 knots to mach 0.9.
UAV recovery parachute systems and system designs range from the U.S. Navy’s DRS Neptune to NASA’s 5% and 14% scaled test vehicles for the futuristic X-48B Blended Wing Body Aircraft.
