Office Manager / Comptroller
Atair Aerospace, Inc. Duties include managing daily operations, purchasing, bookkeeping, supervise support staff, implement policies and procedures, filing, purchasing, records maintenance, and other clerical services, assist in process for hiring, terminating, and evaluating office personnel, monitor budget and accounting practices.
- Assist in preparation of financial and operating reports including trial balances, adjustments and closing entries.
- Basic bookkeeping and accounting tasksPosting of cash receipts, expenses and other transactions to journals or ledgers.
- Create invoices, review bills, and reimbursement sheets.
- Monthly reconciliations.
- Oversee Purchasing/Invoicing.
- Oversee accounting, budget, tax and audit activities.
- Prepare Cost Estimates, compare actual costs to estimates and analyze variances.
- Prepare routine reports to government agencies and insurance companies.
- Prepare schedules as requested to assist with preparation of financial statements, budgets, grants, reports and audit.
- Oversee Insurance Renewals.
- Human resources manager and benefits administrator.

3D CAD Engineer and Designer
We have an immediate opportunity for a full-time SolidWorks CAD Engineer and ME
Designer in our Brooklyn office.
Responsibilities include maintaining and supporting existing applications, designing and
developing new applications for a dynamic, interesting R&D and defense company
working with UAV's, parachutes, armor and other life saving technologies. You will be
involved in the full hardware development lifecycle and work directly with other highly
skilled engineers.
Core Duties:
- Interface with the senior engineers and perform design concepts drawings
through production prints in SolidWorks and other related software.
- Transform initial rough mechanical, electrical, and electronic product designs into
working documents
- Prototype and low volume production work utilizing in house 3D prototyping
machines
- Maintain design files and generate prints as necessary
- Engineer drawings and designs to ensure adherence
- Maintain inventory of supplies and materials, order materials as necessary
towards the model shop
- Research suppliers and manufacturers as necessary
- Create Purchase Requests, assist with sourcing materials, and update Bill of
Materials (BOM)
- Take direction from CEO and Office Manager
Requirements:
- Must possess expert level skills in SolidWorks: 5+ years experience
- Experienced Mechanical Engineer and designer
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any
employer

Aerodynamicist
We have an immediate opportunity for a low-speed aerodynamicist in our New York office to work on interesting R&D projects with government agencies. Responsibilities include design and development of UAVs for a fun, interesting R&D Company working with parafoils.
Job Description:
- Analysis of stability and maneuverability including the aerodynamic design of modifications.
- Flight test support and flight test data analysis.
- Initiate and assist in formulating and evaluating laboratory, flight, and wind tunnel test programs; and prepare reports and conclusions for other engineering and design personnel.
- Coordinate activities of model design group and model shop to assure required configuration of wind tunnel models.
- Prepare air load data on vehicle to conform to aerodynamic requirements.
- May prepare reports on results of analyses, such as flight performance validation, aircraft configuration, trade studies, and aircraft certification.
- Working experience with counter rotating and folding props.
- Provide structural and dynamic analysis.
- CFD analysis.
- Write test requirements.
- Write reports and contribute to proposals.
Skills:
Candidates should have experience with low-speed aerodynamics. We will train with regards to parafoil design.
- Wing development.
- Computation Fluid Dynamics.
- Working experience with counter rotating and folding props.
- Strong knowledge of engines and high altitude diesels.

C++/C#/.NET Programmer
We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced, full-time programmer in our Brooklyn office. Atair is a small R&D company, closely knit, and with a variety of interesting projects involving parachutes, sensing equipment, and related technologies. This particular position requires strong C++ skills and real-world experience with Microsoft .NET to further develop several of our software packages. We'd like to see that you have contributed to at least one shipped product using C++ and/or C# with .NET as the underlying framework (especially the Forms lib, but web deployment is not required).
Your responsibilities will include supporting and extending existing applications, designing and developing new applications, and gathering design specifications and user requirements. You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle and work directly with the Senior Software Programmer.
Job Requirements:
- Strong C/C++/C# skills, with an emphasis on clean, reusable code
- Strong GUI development skills with Visual Studio .NET using Forms in C++ and/or C#
- Familiarity with graphics programming using DirectX or OpenGL (preferred)
- Knowledge of embedded systems and custom communications protocols are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work well with a team as well as on individual projects

Master Rigger
Atair Aerospace, Inc. is accepting resumes for a Master Rigger.
Duties:
- Prototype and low volume production
- Rigging loft inventory management of supplies and materials
- Generate production manuals & patterns, QC manuals, and rigging manuals for Atair products
- Provide information as needed to generate cost estimates
- Accompany Atair Aerospace on test drops and exhibitions as needed and provide rigging support
